Can I make sports or film celebrities as my role models for life?

The fame and glamour of celebrities can be a powerful illusion. While we admire their worldly success, we often fail to see the immense personal crises, addiction, and profound emptiness they struggle with. Their public wealth and fame were never enough to bring them a meaningful, fulfilling life.

This is a theme echoed in stories of tragic heroes, from ancient Greek plays to Shakespearean dramas. They all tell of a fatal mistake of young people who were misled with the belief that worldly fame, rooted in pride, is a worthy life ambition. These heroes ultimately discover that such a pursuit is empty and even destructive. These stories of tragic heroes warn us against a fatal flaw.

True ambition, the kind that leads to lasting satisfaction and holistic success, is Soli Deo gloria—for the glory of God alone.

You see any man who walked the earth like an angel and left a mark in history, it will be young man in whose heart this fire of Soli deo gloria started burning.
